Nightlife Entertainment ManagerCreates and ensures a fun-filled, entertaining and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount. Serves as a dynamic, positive leader, while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication. Acts as a role model and coach while developing employees using a consistent, approachable demeanor and clearly articulating expectations. Ensures that team members clearly understand and are held accountable for their performance expectations. Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained. Works as a change agent to improve and streamline department operations through the continuous assessment of policies and procedures, work processes and program effectiveness and value.
Demonstrates excellent facilitator skills in resolving conflicts between different points of view. Demonstrates leadership skills in determining a vision, aligns and inspires the team to achieve the vision. Coordinates with other departments to ensure total guest satisfaction and efficient operations in a safe, friendly, comfortable environment, by well-trained, motivated employees. Recommends and implements change to improve overall employee and guest satisfaction. Participates in the financial operating and capital planning processes and makes recommendations that achieve desired financial results. Establishes and endorses the business objectives, ethics and values of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. in accordance with the Code of Commitment.
Responsible for all promotions, events, entertainment booking and marketing development efforts for all Voodoo Lounge, Toby Keith’s and related venues. Works with Director of Food and Beverage along with marketing personnel, ensuring promotions and talent booked fit the Harrah’s North Kansas City demographic and are promoted through appropriate media outlets. Develops and executes creative and innovative promotional ideas that drive the business and maximize revenue. Collaborates with advertising in the design and creation of marketing collateral for nightlife promotions. Collaborates with Sales and Banquets to ensure flawless execution of private parties and catered events at the Voodoo Lounge. Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the business plan and operational budget for areas of responsibility. Provides direction to entertainment team, operations team, audio visual team, ticket sales, and outlet security team. ensuring that all activities and job duties are performed according to established company and departmental policies and procedures. Ensures that proper staffing levels are maintained. Ensures outstanding customer service delivery in alignment with company and department goals.

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related field. Minimum three years managing operations in a high volume night club environment. Three to five years experience in development and execution of signature, nightclub and lifestyle/experiential events within or outside the casino industry. Proven experience building relationships with entertainers, VIP customers and talent brokers. Ability to cultivate and develop relationships with potential client groups in the greater Kansas City area is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Point of Sale systems.
Ability to simultaneously manage and organize multiple projects. Strong planning, organizational, managerial and communication skills. Proficiency in Point of Sales systems (i.e. Micros, Infogenesis). Must be congenial and have neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene. Must be reliable and conscientious. Possess the ability to interact (in English) with guests, co-workers and supervisory staff. Must be accurate and detail oriented. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to act quickly and exercise good judgment under pressure/conflict situations
