Responsible for assisting in the implementation and ensurance of all operations or Casino Table Games are in Compliance with Grand Casino's policies and procedures. Also responsible for tracking and analysis of Labor and financials pertaining to Table Games. Responsible for training and implementation of new systems and customer service initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
In the absence of a Shift Manager, assumes all responsibilities of gaming floor. Ensures a maximum level of service and satisfaction throughout the table games department. Implements and ensures compliance with approved policies, procedures and direct personnel in accordance with corporate policies and objectives. Responsible for the training and equitable treatment of all Casino personnel. Maintains security with the general management of the casino floor on an assigned shift. Reviews with Shift Manager recommendations to hire, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign and discipline all table games associates in a fair and equitable manner. Has a thorough knowledge of and ability to train others about Harrah's casino management systems as well as CSA and FOCUS initiatives. In the absence of management, may be responsible for the casino operation on an assigned basis. Knowledge of the Casino Control Act and all attendant regulations as well as all internal control policies and procedures. Responsible for management of labor and scheduling on an assigned shift. Responsible for ensuring that measurable objectives pertaining to financial goals are met. Support and maintain Harrahs courtesy guidelines. Promote outstanding guest relations. Perform other duties as assigned. Acts as decision maker in the absence of a Shift Manager.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent required, some college, preferred. Thorough knowledge of all casino games and operations as well as casino management. Cross-trained in slots or another casino department, preferred. Must possess strong analytical skills. Must possess experience and proven track record in scheduling and labor management. Must understand the budgeting process. Experience in creating and implementing changes to budgets, preferred. Must have the ability to recognize, train and implement changes. Experience as a department or HR trainer, preferred. Experience with evaluating and establishing credit limits, preferred. Must be goal and results oriented. Must be able to obtain a Key License. Must have 5 years experience in Table Games with at least 2 years at the supervisory or Pit manager level. Previous experience as an Assistant Shift or Shift Manager, preferred.
