Sheraton Casino: Home of the “Hot Spot” opened August 1, 1994, at Casino Center in Northern Tunica County, Mississippi, just 12 miles from Tennessee state line at Casino Center off Highway 61. The 92,000 square-foot casino features 33,000 square feet of gaming space. The Sheraton hotel experience offers the only all suite hotel in Tunica. SUMMARY: When acting as a floorperson, responsible for compliance with approved procedures, as well as, training, supervising and monitoring the performance of dealers to ensure smooth and efficient gaming during shift.
When acting as a dealer, responsible for dealing a game in a proficient manner while maintaining a courteous and friendly manner. These are Candidate Identified positions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

WHEN ACTING AS A FLOORPERSON:
Specifically supervise the operation of an assigned number of tables.

Ensure fills/credits are handled according to policy.

Promote positive guest relations.

Assist in answering questions or resolving disputes.

Exhibit knowledge of all appropriate state and company controls, policies, and procedures.

Promote the following within the department and among all associates:
Create an atmosphere of fun for all casino guests.
Encourage mutual respect, dignity, and integrity with all associates by setting a positive example at all times.
Instill an atmosphere that encourages associates to share ideas, discuss concerns and resolve disputes.
Retain associates through personal involvement in associate training and development.

WHEN ACTING AS A DEALER:
Protect and control the game.

Conduct the game according to company policies and procedures and applicable gaming regulations, handling guest transactions and notifying Pit Supervisor of any irregularities.

Exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner.

Promote outstanding guest relations.

Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises an assigned number of dealers when acting as a floorperson.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES\JOB DIMENSIONS: Attendance, which may be modified by Horseshoe from time to time, is an essential function of the job and is required to successfully perform in this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to Horseshoe disciplinary action procedures up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Horseshoe policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of company facilities. Employees who violate company policies and procedures are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Thorough knowledge of game supervision and casino rules, procedures, and regulations

Licensed as a Dealer.

Employed as Dealer for an adequate length of time to gain proficiency.
