Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the apperance of the casino's public areas and public restrooms to enhance environment for creating a great time for all guests.

Cleans trash urns and ashtrays. Vacuums carpeted areas. Sweeps and mops tile, brick and concrete areas. Polishes furniture and bright areas. Strips and waxes tile floors. Shampoos and spots carpeted areas. Uses extractor equipment, floor scrubbers, shampoo machines, polishing machines, and special vacuum cleaners and scrubbers. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

High school diploma or GED required. Must be physically strong and have previous knowledge of floor machines and cleaning equipment. General knowledge of chemicals, shampoos, strippers, and waxes is preferred. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds. Must be able to use and operate vacuum cleaners, floor cleaning equipment, dustpans and brooms. Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals around crowded areas without developing an allergic reaction. Must be able to read labels on chemical bottles. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach and pull around casino and rest room areas. Must be able to use finger and hand movement when cleaning and wiping surface areas. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
