Leads the development of new VIP players from regional and national markets, coordinates multi-cultural VIP strategies and events, leads VIP Concierge and Coordinator teams, and assists in all areas of Casino Marketing.- Works with Director to plan and execute the annual property NCM and multi-cultural VIP marketing and player development strategies
- Proposes casino marketing and player development objectives
- Manages the relationships with branch offices, independent representatives and National Casino Marketing
- Devises coordinated campaigns to acquire and grow loyalty of VIP players from the regional and national markets, including administration of regional player introduction strategy
- Assists Executive Hosts and Casino Hosts with development of players from the local and regional market
- Develops personal relationships with premium slot and/or table players in all regional and national markets as well as vendors, purveyors, agents and celebrities who can attract premium players; is responsible for developing contacts that the property can leverage into the future revenue growth
- Develops and maintains a customer database for premium players from outside of the local market
- Communicating effectively and being an appropriate representative of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel at all times
- Managing the relationships with branch offices, independent representatives and national casino marketing
- Building relationships with key organizations and people in regional markets
- Identifying new avenues for attracting VIP players to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel
- Ensuring great customer experiences during trips to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel by working hand in hand with Casino Hosts, VIP Services, Hotel and other areas
- Willing to travel to regional and national markets to develop contacts
- Will be evaluated on ability to grow the regional and national VIP trips while maintaining the business standards of Harrah’s Cherokee Casino & Hotel
- Formally presents updates to plans and provides appropriate explanations and solutions to variances.
- Identifies business opportunities and manages expenses to achieve profitability goals
- Motivates and develops direct reports by mentoring, coaching and providing performance feedback.
- Ensure timely and accurate performance appraisals and accurate work history entries
- Be a participating team member by providing input and suggestions, volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task force
- Be proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees and guests
- Responsible for, or actively participates in, the initiation of personnel actions including but not limited to: interviews, training, candidate selection, terminations, performance reviews, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions
- BS/BA from an accredited educational institution required with preference in Management, Marketing, Sales and Hospitality fields
- Two years in a progressively responsible sales management/supervisory role, with emphasis in guest contact, player tracking, or guest services. Documented sales experience preferred
- Must successfully pass Manager Lap
- Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
- Record of strong leadership effectiveness
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sales and development required
- Literacy and fluency in English
- Exceptional ability to manage difficult situations with departments, guests and vendors
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, CMS, LMS, EMS, PCS Outlook).
- Self-starter; must work without close supervision
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
- Respond to visual and aural cues
- Read, write and speak English
- Must work in small, shared office space
- Must lift up to 10 pounds
- Must work some weekends and some late schedules
- Some overnight travel required
