Caesars Indiana is owned and operated by Harrah’s Entertainment. As the world’s largest riverboat casino with over 90,000 square feet of gaming action, we’re located just 20 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY and situated in Elizabeth, Indiana (Harrison County). The property is just 10 minutes south of New Albany, IN on Hwy. 111.
Ensures that all food products prepared meet the established specifications and standards.
Ensures that the proper levels of food are being prepared based on forecasted needs and ensures their prompt delivery.
Ensures that the minimum level of labor is used to perform the required level of production.
Responsible for the complete set-up, stocking, and service of assigned outlets using specific methods during the assigned shift.
Assists in the completion of the financial reports and the “hot sheet”.
Communicates variances from established standards to the Buffet/Banquets Kitchen Manager.
Conducts daily inspections of all assigned areas including line, preparation, pantry, wear washing and storage, and administers safety policies and procedures.
Ensures all food products served meet the established specifications and standards
Conducts the service education program: coaches, reinforces and leads team members in their proper performance of their duties.
Leads team members by creating a positive, supportive environment where talents, skills, and trade practices are exchanged, practiced and enhanced.
Sets performance expectations and provides coaching and operational support for the supervisory staff.
Communicates and cooperates with the dining room management team.
Enforces all appearance and uniform guidelines.
Practices and reinforces Legacy and Caesars Core Values.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in the development and administers departmental operating budget.
Ensures departmental compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Responsible for adherence to health, fire, and safety regulations.
Ensures that all service equipment is handled safely and with reasonable care, reporting and mechanical problems to the Facilities department for repair.
Communicates with team members regularly to facilitate the effective flow of communication throughout the company.
Performs related duties as assigned, and performs the duties of the positions within his/her span of control, as appropriate.
Graduate of a post high school two-year Culinary Arts School or equivalent technical training in food and beverage.
Five years restaurant industry work including two to three years progressive supervisory experience in food production in a hotel or chain restaurant environment.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, customer service, communication (written and oral), team building, and problem solving skills required.
Proven performance in implementing and maintaining food production operational standards.
Professional appearance and demeanor required.
