Poker Room Manager

GENERAL

• Ongoing management of poker room operations towards ensuring the establishment, growth and success of the premiere live poker room in Asia
• Recommending improvements to poker room to increase satisfaction of players and bottom-line profitability
• Implementing rules, policies and procedures where defined, defining them where not, and generally working to improve all player and staff processes within the room.
• Working with Marketing Manager to effectively raise local, regional and international awareness and interest of poker room and events schedule
• Working to ensure the measured and gradual holistic integration of the online/offline poker room concept while maximizing its value to players and the poker room at all times
• Working with APPT Tournament Director to evolve the APPT Macau into one of the largest poker tournaments in the world
• Being a champion of “Tournament Poker as a Sport” within Macau
• Supervising administrative assistant or other junior staff
• Providing excellent customer service to all players

CASH GAMES

• Overseeing the operation of Cash Games
• Ensuring the highest standards of games operation

TOURNAMENTS

• Tournament Director for all regular live tournaments
• Tournament Director for special events as directed by APPT Tournament Director
• Assistant Tournament Director for APPT and other international events (i.e. FPT, ANZPT, etc.) as reasonably required. Some travel required.
• Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis of tournament participation and player feedback to ensure the development of a compelling tournament schedule that meets the needs of current and prospective players.
• Developing a live satellite schedule to generate increased participation in:
o Internal events – weekly tournaments & special events
o Regional APPT events
o Other international events
• Working with Poker Room Management to develop an effective online satellite schedule to increase participation in live events through online events.
• Supervising poker operations at private functions


TRAINING

• Oversee Casino’s training of new poker dealers
• Develop skills refinement training for existing poker dealers
• Training of key poker supervisory/positions leading to establishment of either Assistant Poker Room Manager or two/three Poker Shift Managers who are in charge of operations in Poker Room Manager’s absence.
• Training of key poker supervisory/positions leading to establishment of competent Assistant Tournament Directors for APPT Macau.

ACCOUNTING/ADMINISTRATION

• Accounting for all tournament entry funds including:
o Regular weekly tournaments
o Admin fees
o Maintenance of supporting documentation for all sponsored/free entries
o Macau Cup Tournament Entries
o APPT Macau entries including multiple-phase satellite entries
• Maintenance of timely information regarding cash game revenue including:
o Revenue per hour by game type
o Overall trends in cash game revenue, cash game type, table open hours etc
• Assisting local and/or remote bookkeepers/accountants on financial reporting and reconciliation by providing thorough, accurate and timely information as requested.
• Reporting on status of poker room operations on a weekly basis
• Maintenance of all tournament results via TBoss system (or other software platforms)
• Timely reporting of weekly tournament results to:
o Macau Times and other local or regional newspapers
o Interested media outlets and online sites
o Facebook & other online social media
• Accounting for all Online entries and Prize Payouts to accounts.
• Provide staffing requirements for poker room within timeframes required
