Job Summary: Protects the guests, employees and property assets during assigned shift.

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous security experience is preferred. Must possess good communication skills, both oral and written. Must have problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player. Must enjoy working with the public. First-aid and CPR certified are preferred.

Essential Functions:
Observes activity of patrons and employees in assigned areas with a focus on safety and integrity at all times.
Greets guests and checks ID for appropriate age and identification requirements.
Assists with cut-offs and ejections.
Aides patrons needing assistance to and from the casino, hotel and dining venues either by shuttle, wheelchair or escort.
Provides assistance, direction and information to patrons and employees upon request.
Escorts cheques, cash, and team members as requested and/or directed.
Maintains guest relations and serves as a property ambassador.
May operate a mobile unit and may serve as a rover/breaker for other officers.
Reports all accidents and/or incidents to the immediate Security Shift Supervisor.
Collects and transports drop boxes to the storage/holding area.
Prepares daily logs of all pertinent information.
Enforces all policies, rules and regulations applying to the Security Manual, Internal Control Manual, Human Resources Manual and IGC Manual.
Any and all related job duties as requested, even if not part of the regular job description, particularly if it affects safety of any individual and/or guest service.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
Must be able to work independently.
Responds to visual and aural cues.
Must be fluent and literate in English.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time (4-5 hours).
Must be able to respond calmly and act rationally when dealing with guest complaints and conflict.
Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property, including from floor to floor via stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or by escalator.
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.
Must be able stand, stoop, twist, turn, kneel, bend, reach and have the manual dexterity to grab, grip, hold, sort, push, pull and type.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:
Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
