As the world’s largest riverboat casino with over 90,000 square feet of gaming action, we’re located just 20 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY and situated in Elizabeth, Indiana (Harrison County). The property is just 10 minutes south of New Albany, IN on Hwy. 111.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for the complete set-up, stocking, and service of assigned food station using specific methods.
Ensure that all food products meet the established specifications.
Ensures that all food is prepared on clean surfaces (and with clean utensils) in accordance with restaurant and health department regulations.
Follows all applicable safety procedures while on the work- station.
Ensures the food quality meets restaurant standards.
Sets up the work-station with the supplies and utensils and prepares needed equipment for food preparation.
Facilitates all food preparation, requiring grilling, oven cooking and frying in Legends.
Adheres to all internal controls, policies, standards and procedures.
Understands performance expectations.
Organizes work- station for safety and efficiency.
Discards spoiled food products from the station in accordance with company procedures.
Cleans any food spillage at the work- station.
Assists at various cooking stations as business demands.
Works additional hours on short notice as requested by management, in order to accommodate one of the following: staffing emergency, employee absence, fluctuation in business levels, special projects, ect.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years experience in a high volume cooking (if no vocational training) or one year experience in high volume cooking (with specialized vocational training) preferred.
Must possess basic reading skills.
Must possess basic math skills.
Must be well versed in HACCP.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Must have basice knife skills/knowledge.
