SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE
Assists in the process of providing high quality baked goods to all the Harrah’s food outlets.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Receives, stores, rotates and distributes bakery supplies and products in and around production areas.
  • Maintains cleanliness in and around Bake Shop production areas, including care of work benches and equipment.
  • Scales and measures ingredients such as flour, sugar, yeast, syrup, and dough within allowable tolerances as directed.
  • Prepares bake sheets, muffin tins, bread pans and molds, etc. for baking processes.
  • Loads and empties ovens.
  • Fills racks for transportation and storage.
  • Cuts pies and cakes; prepares pastries for service; preps croissants and other items.



EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

EXPERIENCE: Previous bakery experience highly desired

ABILITIES:

  • Literate and fluent in English
  • Ability to stand for 8 hours
  • Knowledge of general baking principles
  • Ability to interpret formulas, calculate quantity conversions, and understand product directions
  • Ability to move and carry large, heavy objects weighing between 50 – 100 pounds
  • Ability to effectively work unsupervised
