JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for monitoring and supervising the Slot floor operations on a specific shift, ensuring that courteous and prompt service is provided by all employees.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensures that each Slot employee is properly trained and that they are provided with the necessary tools and knowledge to perform their job effectively. Ensures the implementation and compliance of gaming rules and regulations and departmental and company policies and procedures by Slot employees. Builds rapport with Slot players and handles any customer disputes that cannot be resolved by Slot employees. Follows through on all projects and direction as designated by the Slot Manager. Ensures timely, accurate evaluations and appropriate development plans for Slot Attendants. Maintains open communication and ensures fair treatment for all employees. Communicates all pertinent department information and relays policy and procedure changes. Establishes schedule and/or personal requests in a timely manner. Coordinates with the Shift Manager personnel from other departments to achieve optimum operation effectiveness. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED required. College degree preferred. Must project professionalism and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and decision making skills. Must have strong leadership abilities, customer relation skills and salesmanship ability. Good organizational, administrative and managerial skills are a must. Previous knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures pertinent to Slot operations is required. Must have previous Slot experience – 3,000 hours of total Slot experience, with a minimum of 2,400 hours in a Slot Supervisor position. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must have successfully completed Super Lap. This position is a flex position and will require the candidate to be very flexible by working various shifts and days off as required by business demands.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND EVNIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
