JOB SUMMARY: Greet guests, park and retrieve vehicles to and from the parking garage. Transport and store luggage. Display a strong commitment to Excellent Customer Service through the delivery of Harrah’s Service Standards and Operating Procedures.JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet guests and provide casino, hotel and area information. Perform each job function with a sense of urgency.
Bell Attendant
- Assists arriving/departing guests with their luggage, ticketing each piece of luggage.
- Store and retrieve ticketed luggage.
- Transport luggage to and from guestrooms.
- Deliver messages to guestrooms and meeting rooms.
- Deliver miscellaneous items to and from guestrooms. (magazines, mail, flowers, etc.)
- Explain the operation of room equipment, HVAC, televisions/movies, telephone, door locks, amenities.
- Inform guests of emergency fire exits and procedures.
- Offer to retrieve ice when guests reach the room.
- Respond to telephone inquiries; give out information, and resolve problems.
- Offers directional information, driving or hotel related.
- Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Report problems found in guestrooms and any other situations requiring action.
- Comply with all departmental policies/procedures and service guarantees.
Valet Attendant
- Receives vehicle from guest and fills out parking ticket, checking for and recording damage.
- Handles guest vehicle safely and cautiously at all times.
- Park and retrieve vehicles from designated locations.
- Oversee the forecourt, controlling parking, and other usage.
- Open doors for guests entering/exiting valet and hotel entrances.
- Open vehicle doors for guests on arrival/departure to the valet area.
- Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
- Comply with all departmental policies/procedures and service guarantees.
- Attend all training classes as requested.
- Attend and participate in pre-shift department meetings.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Door Attendant
- Greet guests with a warm outgoing personality, creating a fun and exciting environment.
- Consistently opens guest doors.
- Assists arriving/departing guests with their luggage and other details.
- Maintain work area in a clean and safe manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma preferred or equivalent,
- Must posses a valid NC driver’s license.
- Must be able to operate a standard transmission.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a courteous and professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of local area.
- Must be personable and outgoing.
- Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
- Must present a professional and impeccable appearance.
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
- Literate and fluent in English
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/duties simultaneously under time constraints.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to logically and independently plan, organize and complete work, take initiative.
- Possess well developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance
- Receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients or staff.
- Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of shift and remain calm during emergency situations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Self-starter; must work without close supervision
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Harrah's employment policies

PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
- Respond to visual and aural cues
- Read, write and speak English
- Must work in small, shared office space
- Must lift up to 50 pounds
- Must work some weekends and some late schedules
