Responsible for production of property graphics in the area of signage, ads, and miscellaneous printed collateral items to support all property campaigns, events and promotions as needed. Responsible for production of all direct mail pieces for Harrah’s Ak-Chin. Manages the graphic designer. Act as a creative liason for property. Produce property signage including posters, duratrans, outdoor backlit signs, directional signs, table game signs as well as property ads, food & beverage support, coupons.Monitors budget expenses for creative, printing, production, and other line items for administrative and casino marketing departments. Coordinates the Decorations/Props for special events and marketing programs with the Promotions/Events team. Responsible for the production, writing, editing and layout design of monthly in-house employee newsletter. Produces the weekly calendar of casino events, and is also responsible for the production of the quarterly Harrah’s World Publication to high end Gold Card Customers. Responsible for development of product specific communications marketing as identified by department heads. Enhance key vendor relationships related to printing needs, creative development technology enhancements for cost efficiency. Manages production of Marketing collateral direct mail, posters and tent cards. Develops, designs, and edits the annual community review project, including casino/community information. Supports customer communication needs for poker, bingo, and slot area. To include development of calendars (monthly) flyers, ad layout a design/production. Develops and monitors internal communications (signage on the casino floor, merchandizing of products and services, promotions). Develops and manage the marketing administrative budget. Manages and develops the Graphics Artist. Create, update and monitor direct mail copy to database. Ensures Harrahs.com is up to date and manages corporate internet team relationships. Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
College education preferred, at least 5 years of experience in a related communications field required. Must have strong knowledge of desktop computer design experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must possess a sense of urgency and commitment to deadlines.
Must be able to quickly assimilate data and communicate corporate information to key external and internal (employee) audiences. Ability to deal effectively with executive clients (internal and external). Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. Must be able to life up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers, fax machine and photo copier. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
