JOB SUMMARY: Maintaining vigilance on their assigned posts for all activities which may be in opposition to the officer’s primary function as written; maintaining routine patrols throughout the premises and maintaining observation for criminal activities and general non-compliance to company rules and policies; provide safe, secure transportation of house moneys between one point to another; provide surveillance of all areas to detect fire and safety hazards and other defects which might compromise the well being of life and property; keeping alert for undesirables, juveniles (persons under 21 years in the casino) and other persons who are disrupting the peace of the establishment; provide all escorts and act a runner for gaming requests such as pit fills; produce detailed written reports which document the pertinent information of an incident in accordance with the Policies and Procedures; acquire knowledge of the procedures and operations of all emergency equipment located throughout the property; acquire knowledge of the operations of all fire detection and suppression equipment throughout the property; acquire knowledge of and skill in the use of firearms, handcuffs and basic defensive tactics; any and all duties and tasks assigned by the Director of Security.
REQUIRED SKILLS: 1 to 2 years security, law enforcement, or military experience is required; excellent personal driving record and class C license; successfully complete firearms qualification course; military/law enforcement background experience is desirable; majority of shift spent walking; varying degrees of mental an physical strain; must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke; must be able to lift up to 30lbs.; ability to perform all duties of visual and dexterity requirements; team player; excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are a must; quick, accurate and able to manage several tasks at once; neat, professional appearance with good personal hygiene a must; must be able to handle pressure situations in a consistent and tactful manner; high school diploma or equivalent.
