JOB TITLE: Poker Dealer
EDUCATION:
[ ] High School Diploma or GED equivalent Preferred.
[ ] *If applicant does not meet this education requirement, employer will allow 6 months from date of hire to meet job requirement, as a
condition of employment.
[ ] Successful completion of Poker Dealer Training.* (Please submit copy of certificate with application)
SKILLS:
[ ] Excellent math skills.
[ ] Ability to follow direction.
[ ] Excellent customer service skills.
[ ] Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department supervisors and employees.
[ ] Must have excellent knowledge of Poker games.
[ ] Excellent memory and attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE:
[ ] Minimum of one (1) year of experience dealing Poker; Poker Dealer training certificate may be accepted in lieu of experience
requirement.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
[ ] Must pass a live audition on 7 Card Stud, Omaha, and Texas Holdem with “acceptable” points with knowledge of specific
game(s).
[ ] Must have a professional appearance and/or wear issued uniform.
[ ] Must attend meetings, training and /or travel as job functions and duties require.
[ ] Will be responsible for the deliverance of the highest level of customer service to guests, VIP's, and co-workers.
[ ] Must attend mandatory guest service training.
[ ] Must be flexible to work both Casino sites, the "New" Tulalip Casino and the Quil Ceda Creek Casino.
[ ] Must be able to work any shift assigned to include days, swing, grave, weekends, and/or holidays.
[ ] Must successfully complete and pass a National Indian Gaming Commission background investigation.
[ ] Must be able to obtain a Class III certification, and be licensed, with the Washington State Gambling Commission and the
Tribal Gaming Agency.
Physical Characteristics and/or Prerequisites:
[ ] Manual and finger dexterity dealing poker games and handling chips.
[ ] Ability to sit for extended length of time.
[ ] Tolerance to work in a smoke-filled environment.
[ ] Constantly requires the ability to give and receive detailed information through verbal communication.
[ ] Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, elbows and/or finger.
[ ] Constantly requires reaching from a sitting position.
[ ] Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Employee Reports To: Poker Floor Supervisor or designee
Job Summary: Provides high quality customer service to poker game customers by performing job duties.
Specific Duties Performed:
1. Responsible for dealing the game of poker in accordance with gaming policies and procedures.
2. Arrive at designated workstation 5 minutes before shift time ensuring the floor person is aware of it.

3. Manages and maintains poker table bank.
4. Collects house revenue and player Jackpot monies.
5. Greets all customers and, when possible, acknowledges known players in an appropriate manner.
6. Projects positive body language on live and dead games.
7. Encourages eye contact on dead games with customer to encourage play.
8. Maintains a positive, friendly and professional attitude at all times towards customers and all employees.
9. Demonstrates attentiveness while dealing the game with cards, placement of cards on table and dealing with customers to ensure protection of the game and maximize the company’s assets.
10. Communicate all pertinent information to Poker Floor Supervisor and Poker Shift Manager as stipulated in departmental policies and procedures.
11. Communicates any irregularities noted in customer play or other transactions during shift.
12. Communicate all pertinent information to relief dealer.
14. Maintains knowledge of Poker room rules and Procedure as outlined in the Poker room manual
15. Ensure compliance with Tribal, State, Federal, and NIGC regulations.
16. Other duties as directed by floor supervisor or persons of higher authority.
Terms of Employment: This is an On Call position requiring up to 40 hours per week or 2080 hours per year.
Pay Range: $8.57 per hour
