Poker in North Korea

Well, let's assume for a moment shall we, that you are traveling abroad, in Asia. You are in fact touring Far East Asia playing poker in every casino, card house and home game you can find. So far your bankroll is holding up pretty good, you've had some good poker games. You've had some great poker games. You've played a few poker games that didn't go so hot. That's okay though because you know it could be a lot worse. Now you find yourself at the banks of the Yula river or the Tumen river in China, staring into North Korea, or what is called The Democratic People's Republic of Korea. You know that there is a casino in the coastal city of Rajin, the Seaview Casino in fact, but you also know that they do not list a poker room as being available. They do offer slot machines, blackjack and roulette and even though you do enjoy these casino games, you're here to play poker and you don't want to mess around. What do you do? Legally you think that the only gambling allowed by law in North Korea is casino gambling.

It is suggested that you figure out the legality of gambling outside of a casino in whatever region you are in before you do it. There can be some pretty harsh ramifications for breaking these kinds of laws in some countries. Checking around on the Home Games Forum might reveal an answer.
