Minnesota Casinos & Gambling

Minnesota casinos and gambling have slots, blackjack, craps and poker... Minnesota has a population 5,000,000 people. Minnesota is often called the "Land of 10,000 Lakes," it is a Northern state in the United States of America known for its natural beauty, cultural activities, and prosperous economy. Minnesota is ranked as the "Most Livable State" by the USA and has an area of 79,610 square miles. The capital of Minnesota is St. Paul which has a population of approximately 280,000. It is located next to Minneapolis on the Mississippi River. The 2 cities are referred to as the "Twin Cities" of Minnesota.

Minnesota casinos are scattered throughout the state, either on Native American Tribal land or under Native American Indian jurisdiction. Minnesota has 22 tribal-state regulations and Minnesota casinos allow blackjack, slots, craps, and other video gaming machines. Bingo and poker are allowed, too and are allowed by separate tribal agreements.

The Mystic Lake Casino, in Prior Lake, is the biggest casino in Minnesota, with 125,000 square feet of gaming aream, 4,000 slot machines, over 80 live table games, four dining areasn, plus a hotel.

Treasure Island Resort & Casino is in Welch, Minnesota and is also one of the bigger casinos in Minnesota, with over 116,000 square feet of gambling pace, 2,500+ slot machines, 40+ live table games, seven restaurants, and hotel.

The Prairie Edge Casino Resort, a smaller casino in Granite Falls, has 27,000 square feet, 660 slots, and six table games.

Minnesota casino gambling doesn't provide any revenue in the form of taxes to Minnesota. There are fees however, that compensate the state to some extent for inspections and other items in the tribal agreements with the state.

While Minnesota is rich in natural attractions, a land of "sky-tinted" waters, with an economy that might be well be enhanced with the future expansion of gambling and introduction of more casinos in the state.
