ELKO - After months of legal wrangling and delays, the developer of the proposed Spanish Bit Resort and Casino in Jackpot got the zone change it wanted.

ELKO - Elko District Judge Andrew Puccinelli recently ruled zone changes for a Jackpot property where a major casino and resort project is planned cannot be rescinded, in spite of a procedural error.

CARSON CITY — About 90,500 Nevadans were out of work in June as the state's unemployment rate climbed to 6.4 percent, its highest level in more than 14 years, according to a report released Friday.
