World Gaming Alliance - Newsletter
Thanks for subscribing and welcome to the first edition of the World Gaming Newsletter.
While our editorial will normally be a re-cap and our unique perspective on the world gaming scene and how it has changed since our last newsletter we felt that it would be a good idea in our first newsletter to formally introduce ourselves. We are made up of three unique companies each filling three distinct roles in the gaming industry: Scarab Casino Management, Casino Life Magazine and World Casino Directory.
World Casino Directory
In 2002 the World Casino Directory was founded by Steve Hand now the current owner of Scarab Casino Management. In late 2005 the site was acquired by Bernard Richter who is the former owner of over 100 other popular land based casino websites. "I was looking for a way to get more organized and the 100 websites were hard to manage. When I first met Steve he was moving into some land based casinos operations in Central America. At first we were going to arrange a partnership, but I got greedy. I paid off Steve which allowed him to put more attention on his current focus which is Scarab."
Currently World Casino Directory is one of the most popular spots on the internet for land based gamblers. Each casino location from world wide, to continents, countries, provinces, states and cities have a "information page" and each casino has a "property page" Many casinos have pictures, a feature which most casino directories (strangely) are missing. In addition there is live hotel booking, jobs, casino news, and games (for fun only). Currently the website is being translated into German, French and Spanish in addition to its original English version. Most of the features are free for casinos to use. Human Resources can access and post jobs for users to browse, Marketing can gain control of their CMS and alter the casinos descriptions, photos and a lot of other tools are available too.
Casino Life Magazine
Casino Life is the casino magazine for owners, operators, casinomanagers of European casinos and gaming equipment manufacturers. Our key aim is to provide a magazine that you can read - that has interesting content and is not just full of press releases - and we appear to be succeeding as more and more casino managers subscribe. Our global distribution network has grown to include Europe, South Africa and Asia. We have developed contacts within these regions and enjoy information and stories to share with you that we get from our connections. We look forward to our partnership with WCD and Scarab in producing an electronic newsletter for gamblers, employees and executives alike.
The Scarab Group
Scarab Gaming is a culmination of concepts and ideas of several very experienced casino executives who over the years have successfully run and managed a variety of casinos around the world. Each of the 16 partners of Scarab Gaming Group have a proven track record and are people who have been meticulously selected because of their successes in the casino industry. As large as the casino industry is, there are only very few employed in the business who have the knowledge and experience to make the difference between success and failure. This is why Scarab was created.
