The Veterans of Foreign Wars of America, Fort Concho Post 1815, along with other Concho Valley veterans organizations will commemorate the sinking of the USS Maine at 1 p.m. Saturday at the VFW Fort Concho Post, 125 S. Browning St.

Tim Leach, president and chief executive officer of Concho Resources, was presented with the Permian Basin Petroleum Association's Top Hand Award during a banquet Thursday night at the Petroleum Club.
