TAHLEQUAH — Big changes are in store for some Tahlequah Public Schools elementary students in August, but the shuffling may not be as drastic as some expected.

— Attorney/businessman Brian R. Berry and marketing director Stanley Young are seeking the office 5 seat on the Tahlequah Board of Education. The post will finish an unexpired term. Duel Smith most recently held the seat.

TAHLEQUAH — With the regular season winding down, the Northeastern State women are trying something new. However, it’s not on offense or defense — it’s on each players’ head.

Jhonette Cookson (33) and the Tahlequah Lady Tigers will host one of four Class 5A regional tournaments on the east side of the state in late February. The OSSAA released playoff pairing for 5A and 6A teams on Thursday.
