Here's some good news for all those Blackjack players out there looking for a good blackjack tournament.

Casinorip.com is running online qualifiers for the London Open Blackjack Masters to be held at the Empire Casino, Lecester Square in London on 30th January, 2010.

You can't direclty buy, the only way to get a seat in this tournament is through any of the 10 weekly qualifiers on this site, starting on Saturday 21st November ending on Saturday 23rd January 2010. There will be 2 seats given away each week on the qualifier on Saturdays at 8pm.

One of the really cool features about this is that there are four different ways to win you a seat for the event and you could actually get into this tournament for just 10p. Here are the 4 different ways to qualify:

• Pennyroll - Daily 3pm & £0.01 to enter. The winner gets 1 free seat into the Daily Sub-qualifier at 8pm the same day - worth £12.50+£1.25. (the winner gets a seat in the daily sub qualifier of that day - just to make it clear).
• Qualify in our daily 8pm satellite for £12.50 + £1.25 – 1 seat for every 8 players to the Weekly Qualifier on Saturday at 8pm – worth £100 + £10. (the winner gets a seat for the Saturday qualifier).
• Qualify in our daily 10pm satellite for £25 + £2.50 – 1 sear for every 4 players to the Weekly Qualifier on Saturday at 8pm – worth £100 + £10. (the winner gets a seat for the Saturday qualifier).
• Buy in Directly before Saturday night at 8pm for £100 + £10 – 1 seat for every 8 players to the main event – worth £800. The Winner and Runner-up get a seat in the main event!

Here's some details about the main event:

When: Saturday 30 January 2010. Registration starts at 6pm, tournament commences at 7pm.

Where: Empire Casino ‘Shadow Room’, Leicester Square, London.

Description: 32 player live tournament. 25% of the Finalists (Top8) will share the prize pool. Scheduled 5-hour tournament finishing before 12midnight. No walk-ups allowed on the day. Route to participation only through online tournaments.

1st place (40%) £10,000
2nd place (20%) £5,000
3rd & 4th place (10% each) £2,500/each
5th – 8th place (5% each) £1,250/each
