12 “PLAY IT AGAIN” AND WIN IN LOTTERY’S NEW PROGRAM! Environment not the only winner with Play it Again!
Thursday, July 12, 2007

NASHVILLE - Twelve Tennesseans ‘Played it Again’ and won in the Tennessee Lottery’s inaugural “Play it Again!” second-chance drawing held earlier this week.

“Getting a second chance to win is great …and it didn’t cost me a thing!” said George Shannon, of Lebanon. Shannon, who collected his $1,000 prize today at the Lottery’s headquarters in Nashville, is one of 12 winners who will receive prizes ranging from $1,000 to $20,000 as part of the Play it Again! program. Play it Again! was designed to help the environment while giving Tennessee Lottery players a second-chance to win prizes from non-winning instant tickets.

“This program has been incredibly well-received,” said Rebecca Paul Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery. “What a great way to give players another chance to win while helping the environment and education in Tennessee.”

A complete list of winners and additional details about Play it Again! is available at the Tennessee Lottery’s website at www.tnlottery.com.

To “Play it Again,” simply register non-winning instant tickets via the internet (www.tnlottery.com). Just click on the Play it Again! icon … and that’s all there is to it—no need for postage, envelopes, or even to keep the ticket. Once the ticket is registered, the Lottery asks players to dispose of tickets properly. For added convenience, players may register at one of the Lottery’s five district offices in Chattanooga, Johnson City, Knoxville, Memphis and Nashville.

The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first tickets on January 20, 2004. As of March 31, 2007, the Lottery has raised over $842 million to fund specific education programs, including college scholarships, pre-kindergarten and after-school programs.
