Practice your short game and long drive, because it’s time for the 16th Annual Cactus Petes/Ronald McDonald House Charity Golf Tournament. This year’s event is set for August 10-13, 2006 at the Jackpot Golf Club. Cactus Petes is proud to support and celebrate this outstanding organization and we invite you to join us for what will undoubtedly be a fun-filled and exciting event.

We kick off the event on Friday with a poolside party at Cactus Petes Resort Casino. This year's theme is “Roundup BBQ”, so come dressed in your favorite western attire for great food, cool beverages and good times!

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho operates the Idaho Ronald McDonald House to provide a temporary home away from home for families of ill or injured children receiving treatment at Boise medical facilities. In addition to providing comfort and care for these families in a nurturing and supportive surrounding, the Charity invests in community programs that promote the health and well being of children.

A Focus on Service and Care
The family of any hospitalized child, 18 or under, whose permanent residence is outside of Ada county, is eligible to stay at the Idaho Ronald McDonald House. Here they find everything you would expect in a regular home – just a little bigger. The 19 bedroom House serves over 500 families each year. Families who face many challenges with their sick children will turn to the Ronald McDonald House.

Providing these families with a safe, supportive, welcoming place to stay is the reason the Ronald McDonald House exists. The staff, volunteers and Board of Directors help to meet families basic needs and provide beyond just the necessities. With the help of all the supporters of the House, families are provided with shelter, food, love and caring.

Families at the Idaho Ronald McDonald House are asked for a $10 donation per night, but are never turned away because of financial need. Most families pay nothing out of their own pocket to stay at the House. It is thanks to the generous support of the community, donations and fundraisers that the doors to this House remain open.
