2 CLAIM MILLION $ MADNESS WINS!

NASHVILLE - Two of the four Million $ Madness $1 million winners claimed their prizes today at the Tennessee Lottery’s Nashville headquarters, while the other two millionaires still remain a mystery.
The first to claim was David Smith of Old Hickory, Tenn., who purchased his ticket just a couple of hours before the game sold out on May 13. Smith remodels homes and “dropped his paintbrush” when he found out he had won.
“I’ll have to pick it back up, though, because I still have to work,” he said. Smith arrived with his wife, Kara Livingston, who is an executive assistant in the music industry and also works in real estate.
The couple plan to save most of their winnings after purchasing a new home.
Burt Isabell, of Sylacauga, Alabama, arrived next with his daughter, Amy Lewis. He’s a sales manager at Bama Budweiser distributorship, and purchased his ticket via a friend on February 10 in Manchester.
“Tennessee has always been good to me!” he said. Since Burt is close to retirement, the big win couldn’t have come at a better time.
Million $ Madness was the Lottery’s first raffle-style game. The last of 800,000 tickets was sold shortly after 9 p.m. CT Sunday night. Prior to awarding these four prizes, the Lottery has awarded $1 million or more to 12 Tennessee players, six who won from playing an instant ticket game and another six who won from Powerball, including a jackpot winner of $25.5 million and a Power Play 10X winner of $2 million.
The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first tickets on January 20, 2004. As of March 31, 2007, the Lottery has raised over $842 million to fund specific education programs, including college scholarships, pre-kindergarten and after-school programs.
