The “All-in for the Kids Celebrity Poker Tournament” organised by the Los Angeles Youth Network was held on Saturday September 22nd. Hosted by model and television personality Brooke Burke, this was the second annual poker tournament held in aid of homeless teens in Los Angeles.
The $200 buy in with $100 rebuys poker tournament which started at 7.30pm was held at the Crystal Casino. In addition there was food, entertainment and a silent auction table. Other celebrities in attendance included Mira Sorvino and Brody Jenner.
The slogan for the event, “not every child is dealt the same hand”, ties in excellently with the cause. The amount of money raised has not yet been revealed but will go towards building an independent living facility to cater for the over 13,000 homeless teens on the streets of Los Angeles. |
