The President Casino was the only Missouri casino in the St. Louis area to log a revenue drop for September, the Missouri Gaming Commission reported Tuesday.

With admissions declining 11 percent in September from the previous year's month, the President Casino saw its revenue drop 2 percent last month. The casino reported revenue fell to $5.77 million in September from $5.87 million in the same month last year. President's admissions fell to 251,064 from 281,089 in September 2005.

Harrah's St. Louis Casino and Hotel in Maryland Heights saw the largest revenue gain among St. Louis-area Missouri casinos for the month of September, with a 10 percent climb to $26.6 million from $24.1 million last year. The casino also reported that admissions rose 4 percent last month to 812,072 from 781,327 in September 2005.

The Ameristar Casino-St. Charles reported a 4 percent revenue gain in September, despite falling admissions. The casino reported $25.6 million in revenue last month, compared with $24.63 in September 2005. Its September admissions fell to 762,888 from 793,095 in the same month last year.

The Illinois Gaming Board reported Monday that both the Argosy Casino Alton and the Casino Queen in East St. Louis saw their revenue grow in September.
