Ameristar names new KC general manager

KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- As reported by the Kansas City Business Journal: "Tim Wright has been promoted to general manager of Ameristar Casino & Hotel Kansas City.

"Wright had been interim general manager of the casino, which is the largest property of Ameristar Casinos Inc. (Nasdaq: ASCA), since December and assistant general manager since March 2006, the company said in a release Thursday.

"... Wright, whose promotion included moving from vice president to senior vice president, has more than 10 years of experience in the gaming industry, in markets such as Las Vegas and Reno, Nev..."
