Antigua's exclusion from the UK White List could be overturned according to a report from the Antigua Sun.
Antigua and Kahnawake were notably excluded from the UK White List. This was a serious blow for the online casino licensing jurisdictions as only White Listed online casinos can legally participate in the regulated UK market.
Antigua's Minster of Finance, Dr. Errol Cort, headed a delegation which met with Britain's Minister for Sport Gerry Sutcliffe to discuss why Antigua was excluded. The Antigua Sun reports the delegation returned optimistic that Antigua would be added to the White List in the future.
Dr. Cort told the Antigua Sun he believed Antigua's chances of being added to the White List were favorable:
"We are extremely encouraged by the reception we received from Minister Sutcliffe and his staff. I was happy to learn that very little stands in the way of our approval for whitelisting, and I think I can express confidence that this issue will be resolved favourably in the very near future."
It is likely that a delegation from Kahnawake will also be knocking on Minister Sutcliffe's door in the near future. |
