Is anyone here in the regular habit of playing the lottery? My husband and I don't play all the time but we certainly became interested when the Powerball jackpot climbed to around 300 million dollars. My inlaws are huge fans of the Powerball and have won a couple hundred dollars before. For those of you who play, do you stick to certain numbers or just pick them randomly?

I play the Florida lottery pretty regularly, but always pick random numbers (or, rather, have numbers picked at random by the lotto machine).

Can't say I've ever won anything of any note, though. Just a couple of dollars here and there and some free tickets. I'd probably be better off putting the money I spend in a jar, but that takes all the fun out of it!

I love to play the lottery. I know that my chances are slim to win, but I would love to actually win sometime. That would be so awesome to win, actually. Man, just imagine all of that money. Millions and millions of dollars to live on for the rest of your life.

I actually need to play the lotto on a regular basis. LOL. I need to play just like paying a bill. One thing I never do is save numbers that I didn't play. I never want to look back and see that I had the winning number and didn't play it. I couldn't live with that!

My grandmother always plays the numbers 1,2, and 5 in our state lottery. She boxes them on her ticket so she'll win something if they come up in any combination. Sadly, the number 125 did hit once, on a day that she didn't buy a ticket!

Oh, at the poker table would be even worse than the lotto! I'm a dreadful poker player.

I can understand what I'm MEANT to do, but once I start it just all goes terribly wrong for me, which is a shame. I actually enjoy the game, just not the losses that go hand in hand with it :-)

That's why I stick to the slots in real life (online, no one can see me pulling faces trying to work out what I'm going to do about the cards I have!)

We'll play once in awhile when the jackpot gets huge. We usually just get computer pick numbers, I've never really taken the time to sit down and figure out some meaningful numbers. We've never won anything.

I am eagerly waiting for North Carolina to get a lottery. Well, technically we have a lottery - so they say. But, all we have is scratch cards. I love those, but I want real lottery tickets too! I hope in time we might get connected to the Power Ball. I'd love to throw a little money at that for a chance to win.
