Arena planning £23m UK racino 26 February 2007 Arena Leisure has submitted its £23m plans to develop a casino and leisure complex at Wolverhampton Racecourse. The new 'racino' will include a destination casino, 170 room hotel and additional horseracing and conference facilities if Wolverhampton City Council gives it the green light. The Casino Advisory Panel praised the venue, saying that the racecourse will make a good venue. "The city well satisfies all of our criteria and if the casino happens to end up at the racecourse it would add to its uniqueness and provide an interesting and unusual social impact test."
