Argosy Casino's Lease Renewed Until the Year 2013

People come to the riverfront to hit the jackpot and today at the city council meeting it was the Argosy Casino's turn to win.

Sioux City Mayor Craig Berenstein approved a motion to extend the lease of Argosy Casino. The lease will renew for an extra five-year-term, which will expire in the year 2013.

The city expects to receive a share of the Argosy's gross profits, to the tune of $2 million.
