Artzina and Fox Valley Barzgar pulled off mild upsets thanks to their impressive wins in Friday's pair of $20,000 Woodrow Wilson eliminations for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings at the Meadowlands Racetrack.

Artzina (Artiscape – Koutzina), in rein to John Campbell, prevailed by a nose over 4-5 favourite Mr Apples in the first elimination in a career-best clocking of 1:51.3. Pandoras Box (3rd), Art At Heart (4th) and Fingal Hanover (5th) picked up the smaller shares and they also punched tickets to next Saturday's $410,000 Woodrow Wilson final.

Dylan Davis conditions the colt, who boosted his bankroll to $138,510 and improved his record to 3-0-1 in four assignments for partners Kal Liebowitz of New York, NY and Marc Rubach of West New York, NJ.

Fox Valley Barzgar (Incredible Finale – Slammin Annie) turned in an impressive win in wire to wire fashion his tilt for trainer Tom Harmer and driver Tony Morgan, who guided the colt to the career-best clocking of 1:51.3.

Morgan had the pacer on the lead through panels of :26.2, :55.4 and 1:24.4 before punching out a :26.4 final quarter to defeat The Double Dion (2nd). Ruff Me Up (3rd), Art Crown Merit (4th) and race favourite Whats Up Now (5th), who managed to advance to the final despite making a break at the half, will complete the field for next Saturday's Woodrow Wilson final.

Fox Valley Barzgar is now 3-for-4 in his career for Michael Polansky of Loudonville, NY, who holds the papers on the career winner of $26,950
