ANOTHER of Blackpool's rivals has made its claim for the super casino licence.

The Casino Advisory Panel visited Cardiff yesterday to hear its submission.
Cardiff Council wants to establish the regional casino within the International Sports Village it is constructing in the former dockland area of the city.
In conjunction with the sports village, it is predicted the casino would bring 5,000 jobs and attract three-and-a-half million visitors annually, who would spend an estimated £270m.
Highlighting the Millennium Stadium and the Wales Millennium Centre, Tom Morgan, corporate director of Cardiff Council, said: "Cardiff has a track record in delivering major projects on time and on budget.
"We believe it (Sports Village) is a totally unparalleled site.
"We see there is a need to maintain that spirit, momentum and confidence (in the city) with the regional casino."
John Kingsford, of Visit Wales, added: "It seems to me that the opportunity is huge.
"We do have a lot of unemployment in the valleys area and there are good infrastructure links between the valleys and Cardiff.
"I believe the casino would offer a lot of opportunity for people to get into the world of work."
Blackpool will battle it out with Cardiff, Greenwich, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield and Glasgow.
The Casino Advisory Panel will be in Glasgow on Monday.
