The Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa recently announced the dates for its annual Borgata Poker Open, one of the most widely publicized stops on the World Poker Tour. The event begins on September 5th with a $500 buy in No Limit Hold 'Em event, and continues for sixteen days. A total of 13 events are on the schedule, concluding with the World Poker Tour Finals, a $10,000 buy in no limit hold 'em championship event. The five-day championship takes place from September 15-19.

Interestingly, WPT Enterprises has chosen to overlap the controversial pro-only Professional Poker Tour, with the tried-and-true WPT concept. It's holding the PPT's Borgata event on September 11 and 12, with a televised final table on September 20th--the day after the WPT final table. This is a first for WPTE, and it remains to be seen whether it's a good strategic move.
