Circle the date on your calendar – February 13 – because that’s when Corneille will be giving the Québec premiere of his new show, inspired by his latest album, The Birth of Cornelius. From February 13 to 16, Corneille and his full “Motown” style band will fill the stage at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal… This will cap an incredibly popular “acoustic” concert blitz of Japan.
No shortage of glamour here, and Corneille’s recent English-language songs are sure to be prominent – inspired by such artists as Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder by way of Sam Cooke. With the expert backup of four musicians, Corneille will perform over twenty songs, including covers of some of his personal favourites.
