Casino Is Seeking Workers For New Operation
The hard hat phase is over for Kiowa Casino. That means the grand opening is just around the corner. Amber Toppah, the casino's advertising manager says, "We're starting to get the last of our machines in and our table games in and so it's starting to look like an actual casino." But there is just one thing missing... Employees. "We still have around 400 individuals who we're working to employ as well as license and a background check and a gaming license."
Since kiowa is in the process of hiring...They decided to offer a dealer's course for applicants looking to become black jack and poker dealers. And the best part about it is... You don't have to have experience.
Mark Whestone is the Poker Manger. He says, "It's an open structure class. We have set structure of what we're gonna teach, however the students are free to come at their own will.."
In order for students to become eligible for hire as a dealer.... Potential students must commit between forty to sixty classroom hours, pass a weekly test, and pass a table audition. Whetstone says, "We set to hire just under forty dealers, some partime and some fulltime."
Once the hard part is over.... All that is left... Is to have a big smile and a personality that keeps gamers satisfied. "We're here to have fun and they are too, so that's something that's going to set us apart." |
