Two generator malfunctions left much of the Mohegan Sun casino in the dark early Wednesday morning.
Casino spokesman Saverio Mancini said the power went out at about 3:30 a.m. and came back on about six hours later.
Several areas of the casino were without power, including the Casino in the Sky and its 2,800 slot machines, the Shops at Mohegan Sun and most of the casino hotel.
Mancini said it was the first time that Mohegan Sun faced a blackout of that magnitude.
Mohegan Sun Chief Executive Mitchell Etess said the casino doesn't expect the blackout to have much effect on revenue as early mornings are a slow time.
