The Catfish Bend floating casino has a new home in Ft. Madison.

The owner of the boat decided to build a permanent casino in Burlington, so the boat was moved to the Ft. Madison river front.

The city already receives about 300 hundred thousand dollars a year from gaming proceeds.

City leaders say the casino will draw more people and business to the area and help make Ft. Madison a well rounded community.

The Catfish Bend Casino also donates thousands of dollars every year to Ft. Madison charities.
