Casino news from http://www.di-ve.com/ VITTORIOSA, Malta (di-ve news) -- July 20 2006 -- 1220CEST -- The Casino di Venezia in Vittoriosa had its licence revoked on the basis that it had insufficient human resources after 14 of its staff members were dismissed. Apparently on 9 July, following Italy's victory in the World Cup, staff members were having a party which turned too wild to be acceptable. The consumption of excessive amounts of alcohol, breaking of around 350 glasses and indecent acts by the staff members in front of clients led to their discharge. The general manager was also among those dismissed. Since, according to the rules of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority, the human resources capacity of the casino was now lower in numbers than is actually required, the casino could not continue to operate. The casino has a period of 21 days to object to this decision.
