The second Philadelphia-area casino and racetrack opened Monday.

Harrah's Chester Casino & Racetrack in Chester, Pa., expects to a draw 10,000 people a day and generate at least $10 million in revenue a year, while providing 900 jobs.

The 100,000-square-foot "racino" has 2,700 slot machines, as well as nine restaurants. Harrah's opened the racetrack component in September.

Under the plan to bring slots gaming to Pennsylvania, racinos have been the first facilities to open. The Philadelphia Park track in Bensalem opened its casino last month.

Stand-alone slots operations, including Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia and SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, did not learn they would be granted licenses until last month. Foxwoods and SugarHouse are expected to open next year.

Harrah's Chester is owned and operated by Las Vegas-based Harrah's Entertainment (NYSE:HET) and Chester Downs & Marina LLC.
