Casino robber gets 17 years plus in federal pen
BILLINGS A Billings man robbed a casino, taking 905-dollars and yelling he would kill anyone who watched him get away.
Now he's been sentenced to more than 17 years in federal prison.
Forty-two-year-old Jeffrey Schlepp was sentenced yesterday in U-S District Court in Billings.
Schlepp pleaded guilty in April to robbing Sam's Place in June 2005, armed with a short-barreled shotgun.
The driver of Schlepp's getaway car -- Hope Rathbun -- admitted she and Schlepp agreed to rob the casino. She was sentenced in June to two-and-a-half years in prison.
Schlepp had a 2003 felony theft conviction in Stillwater County. He'd been released from prison less than six months before the Billings robbery. |
