Ch0ppy Is New Online Player of the Year Leader
He Took the Lead With His Performance This Weekend
Card Player’s Online Player of the Year (OPOY) leader board experienced a slight shakeup this weekend thanks to a strong performance by a man named ch0ppy and back-to-back victories by DuckU.
Ch0ppy climbed to the top of the list by winning this Sunday’s $200+$15 PokerStars Sunday Million Second Chance tourney. He won $50,525 for the victory and now has 3,124 OPOY points. This was Ch0ppy’s second victory since March. He won a $100 rebuy event on PokerStars on March 11, for $29,672. His trek up the leader board began when he took down the Sunday Million tournament at the beginning of the year, earning him 1,440 OPOY points.
Greg "DuckU" Hobson has had a great two weeks, and he now sits in the fourth spot on the OPOY list with 2,400 points. He won Full Tilt Poker's monthly $750,000-guaranteed tournament last Sunday and then took down the $400,000-guaranteed event last night, which was not only good for all those points, but $238,202. James “P0KERPR0” Campbell remains in third with 2,604 points. He added 12 points to his total for taking 11th in PokerStars' daily $100-with-rebuys tourney Sunday.
And Brian “tsarrast” Rast also added a handful of points to his total after finishing 20th in the same $100 plus rebuys that Campbell was knocked out in 11th. He earned 8 points, to bring his total to 2,326. |
