I'm wondering if this site will ever have an actual chat area - besides the forums. Chat rooms and occasional scheduled chats are great ways to let people get to know one another, and conversations spill over into the forums. Is that a possibility in the future?

Thanks for signing up. Yes, anything is possible. We have a programmer on staff of the likes that I have never seen. I think not only a chat room is possible, but I will like to say that we will have one within one month.

I can see the stats for World Casino Directory when I'm on the main page of the forum and the numbers look like there are a lot of people on at the same time.

Great idea here. I think that a chat room would be possible to be made within a month. The userbase of this site should be pretty good by then, I think. This site is off to a great start.

Within a month? A chat room would be cool. Maybe it would give incentive for the visitors to register. I have noticed the number of guests, but not often enough members logged in...:(

But a chat room would give them a reason to get comfy and "chat" a while

A chat room would be great - a way to really interact with other users and get to know each other, which can often be difficult just through a forum to begin with.

I'd be interested in a chat room as well. I have a suggestion...Paltalk. I actually have a room on there but haven't really used it yet. I could open it up for members of this group and others if we had a schedule of times you'd like it open. Let me know if you'd be interested in this.

Having a chat room would be a capitol idea! I would be a constant participant in this room, I must say. Talking with all of the people here, it could be exciting

Having a chat room on this site would entertain us, along with the fact that it would probably boost the visits of this site. Which, I think that is something that we want to happen. The more people, the more interesting conversations that go on.

Thanks for the offer on the chat room Carey! But I already have a custom chat on order with our programmer. This will allow us to all decide what functions we want available in the chat system, too. I was thinking multiple chat rooms, password protected rooms, you name it, I'm sure our programmer can handle it. It will also be nice that you have to be a member to login. That should help keep it a little tamer in there.

Being a member to use the chat room is a great choice. I would recommend that HIGHLY. You would not want some flukes coming from other sites that are just here to mess around with the prior users.

The issue I have with chatting while forum-ing is that the windows pop up and blink while I am reading a thread of focusing on another area.

It's definitely a good idea to keep the chat for members only - on open chat rooms you tend to get people just coming in to spam for stuff that no one is really interested in. That's about the worst thing during chats.

Using the chat-room that is going to be here for members only is something that I would have told you to do, but I didn't think that you would've listened. Oh well, great to hear this news, hope to see it up soon

I see that you mentioned multiple chat rooms. Good idea! There's nothing worse in chat than trying to have a topic discussion and chatters chat among themselves about something else. How will the rooms be moderated?

I'm glad there is going to be live chat here! Once you get the rooms up and running and all the bugs out, you may want to think about appointing a couple of chat room moderators too. Moderators help keep everything going along, and also they can banish those few spammers and flamers that sneak in. I used to be a chat moderator in another forum, and it was fun. (Banishing the bad guys was great, lol)
