What goes into the place is often the latest must-have for travelers, and today's great deal is no exception. Early this year the Westin opened its Dawn Beach Resort & Spa on the wildly popular vacation island (with the half-Dutch/half-French personality) of St. Maarten. Summertime and autumn specials let guests save up to 40 percent. Stay through August at double room rates from $199 or from just $149 from Sept. 1-Nov. 1. Upgrade to an oceanview room for $30 more per night. The Westin St. Maarten features the largest freshwater infinity-edge pool on the island, a swim-up bar and hot tub, a fitness room, a full-service spa, two oceanfront restaurants and a Vegas-style casino. Luxurious guestrooms feature the Westin-signature Heavenly Bed with fine linens, ceiling fan, Sat TV, bathrobes, a balcony or patio and a spacious bathroom.
