Most of you probably might not care that much, but the City of Black Hawk has published their "Master Plan" on their web site. It's a couple of years old now, but still kinda cool.

Granted, its not the most thrilling subject - but it does have some intersting info about history, current and past demographics, projected growth and plans, etc. Plus lots of cool maps.

Did you know there was "almost" a new casino built down hill from the Riviera (on the other side of the road just inside city limits). It was going to be "Jackpot Junction". Before that, the site was going to be developed as the "Mint". Both projects died on the vine and the property is now for sale.

Another tidbit is that Bullwhacker's had (may not be totally dead by the way) BIG expansion plans that included a muti-story parking garage.

I had heard from employees that Richman had big expansion plans that got all the way through building permits being issued - before it was scrapped and Ameristar bought them and closed the Richman forever.

Anyway - check out the site if you're so inclined. I'd love to get a look at Central City's plan (if they even have one).
