Sheriff's deputies arrested a 50-year-old Coachella man Thursday who is suspected of repeatedly stabbing a man in a casino parking lot.
Billy Franco was arrested at the casino on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on $25,000 bail, Riverside County Sheriff's Department officials said.
The victim survived the attack, which happened at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the southestern parking lot of the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino off Interstate 10. A motive for the attack was not disclosed.
The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to a local hospital, but his injuries were not considered life threatening.
