Colonial Downs is going into its 10 season of thoroughbred racing on 2006.

Thoroughbred aces are held Friday, Monday and Tuesday at 5pm and Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. The track opens 1 hour prior to first live race.

Harness Racing runs from September 4th to November 4th with most races Tuesday - Friday at 5pm.


Virginia also has 9 OTB facilities scattered around the state. These off track betting parlors off simulcasting of most horse and harness racing.


Colonial Downs has 2 dining facilities:
Jockey Club - 500 seat dining room on 3rd floor with two cocktail lounges.
Turf Club - 150 seat dining room on 4th floor with deluxe cocktail lounge.

Directions:

Colonial Downs is located in central Virginia, halfway between Richmond and Williamsburg.

From Richmond, take I-64 East to Exit 214. Make a right onto Rt. 155 off the exit and proceed 1/4 mile to the Colonial Downs access road on the left hand side.

From Hampton Roads, take I-64 West to Exit 214. Make a left onto Rt. 155 and proceed 1/4 mile.
