Daniel Negreanu as a teen wanted to become a professional pool player. By high school, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a pro poker player.

At 21, he started on his way to that dream. A series of events forced him though to return to Canada to rebuild his bankroll.

In 1997 he won two major tournaments at Foxwoods and was named the World Poker Finals' best all-around player.

In 1998, he won the World Series of Poker $2,000 pot-limit hold'em event, becoming the youngest-ever WSOP bracelet winner at the time.

"Kid Poker" has since won two WPT events and two WSOP bracelets and topped it of in 2004 by winning the Card Player's Player of the Year award winning over $4.4 million in a year.

In 2005 he started FullContactPoker.com. (Which includes his blog)

In 2006, he has already won the WSOP Tournament Circuit Championship Event in Tunica, Mississippi.

He is probably one of the most active poker players off the tables with more than 100 columns wriiten for Card Player magazine, contributing to Doyle Brunson's book Super/System II and coming out with Stacks, a video poker game for Playstation and Xbox.

He is one of my very favorite players to watch, always keeps the game lively and active, great sence of humor.. pretty kool guy!

I really like Daniel. His playing impresses me greatly, but he also just seems like a nice guy. When he was in the Heads-Up Tournament on NBC, he had to play Evelyn Ng and they said that those two had actually met (and briefly dated) in a pool parlor where they were both hustling people :-)
