This golden age has been fueled by the gold mine that slots have become in this state. Slots revenue has funneled millions of dollars into horse racing in Delaware and everybody has prospered, except maybe the guy who lost his last $10 playing them. But Delaware's slots monopoly is coming to an end. Surrounding states are getting into the game, literally and figuratively, and in the next few years gambling venues are going to sprout up around us like mushrooms in Hockessin.
